Computer systems tend to generate millions of events. Most of these events are unwanted or repetitive events which waste archive space and waste time when processing and monitoring Event/System logs. A good Event Manager will filter out rules for platform.
GFI Event Manager, SCOM are some event managers which do this out of box.
